AGU 2016 Fall Meeting

Four Twenty Seven team members Nik Steinberg, Colin Shaw, and Colin Gannon will be presenting on tools for evaluating and preparing for extreme heat events, at the the 2016 Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union, the largest worldwide conference in the geophysical sciences.
Nik Steinberg, Director of Analytics, will be attending to present “Building a Decision Support Tool for Adaptation to Extreme Heat” on Wednesday, December 14 at 8am, in room 304 of the Moscone Center.
Colin Shaw, Director of Finance, will present his research on India, “Preparing for Extreme Heat in India: Using High-Resolution Climate Models to Explore the Impact of Rising Temperatures on Human Health and Labor Productivity” in the session “Multidisciplinary Methods to Estimate the Impact of Climate-Related Extreme Events II Posters” on Tuesday, December 13th from 1:40-6:00pm.
Colin Gannon, Climate Data Analyst, will present “Evaluating County-Level Heat Vulnerability and Social Inequity in the United States through Climate and Socioeconomic Indices,” in the session: “Improving the Usability of Climate, Extreme Event, and Hazard Data and Information Products for Community Decision Makers I Posters” also on Tuesday, December 13th from 1:40-6:00pm.
