Webinar: Introduction to the California Heat Assessment Tool (CHAT)

July 19, 2018 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Director of Analytics, Nik Steinberg, will join the CalBRACE (California Building Resilience Against Climate Effects) Community of Practice webex meeting to provide an introduction to the decision-support tool, the California Heat Assessment Tool (CHAT). The tool was developed by Four Twenty Seven for city, county, and state practitioners involved in public health and local planning efforts to better prepare for extreme heat in the future. This online, interactive tool will support the inclusion of extreme heat and its impact on human health into long-term policy and planning decisions in local jurisdictions, regions and the state of California. Nik will demonstrate how the tool can be used for planning around more extreme heat events at this meeting of California county public health officials and practitioners from the CDC and CalEPA.
