Four Twenty Seven’s Director of Analytics Nik Steinberg will be attending COP23, the UN’s conference for nations of the world to meet and advance the aims and ambitions of the Paris Agreement and achieve progress on its implementation guidelines. The conference will take place in in Bonn, Germany, on November 7-17.
Organized through the “one conference, two zones” concept, this COP focuses on the integration of the zones to ensure negotiations, events, and exhibits are integrated into once conference. Nik will be attending the “Bonn Zone” portion of the conference, which accommodates events showcasing climate action.
He will be participating in several side events at the UNFCCC’s 23rd Conference of Parties. These events include:
- Measuring Progress on Climate Adaptation and Resilience: From Concepts to Practical Applications hosted by the IDRC
- The Costs of Extreme Climatic Events for the Financial Sector: How to Manage Exposure hosted by I4CE
- Resilience as a Business: How the Private Sector Can Turn Climate Risk into Business and Investment hosted by IDB
